RemakeCV connects to SmartRecruiters. Our team builds and configures the integration for your talent function using API credentials issued for your SmartRecruiters account, and once it is running it behaves like every other RemakeCV ATS integration — a candidate's CV becomes a branded, optionally anonymised document and returns to their record. Email support@remakecv.com and we will scope it with you.

## Why this comes up in enterprise talent functions

SmartRecruiters usually sits at the centre of a sizeable talent acquisition operation: several business units, more than one country, and enough recruiters and coordinators that no two people prepare a candidate document quite the same way. Scale is precisely what makes format matter. A hiring panel weighing a shortlist assembled by three colleagues in two regions needs the same information in the same place on each CV, otherwise the first differences anyone notices are differences in typography rather than in experience.

Anonymised presentation carries more weight at this size too. In many large organisations a blind first sift is set down in hiring policy or in a public commitment, and it has to hold on every requisition rather than being left to individual judgement. Doing that by hand across hundreds of candidates is where the commitment tends to come apart — [auto-anonymisation](https://www.remakecv.com/help/anonymisation-and-compliance/auto-anonymisation.md) applies the same treatment every time, whichever team the candidate came through.

## How the integration is set up

### Tell us SmartRecruiters is your system of record

Email support@remakecv.com with your organisation name and a short picture of today's path: who prepares candidate documents, which teams or regions are involved, and where the finished CV has to be available.

### Establish what API access your account allows

Whoever administers SmartRecruiters inside your organisation, or their support team, determines what credentials can be issued and on what terms. Their answer sets the boundaries of what we build against.

### Pass the credentials over on a secure channel

We will point you to one. Anything that reaches applicant data deserves the same handling as a production secret — not plain email, and not parked in a shared inbox thread where it outlives the project.

### We build the connection, then enable it

Our team implements it and switches it on for your company. The relevant controls surface in your RemakeCV dashboard afterwards, so there is nothing for recruiters or coordinators to install on their own machines.

> **Note:**
How far the integration reaches is set by the API access granted on your SmartRecruiters account rather than by us — commonly collecting a candidate's CV, filing the branded version back against them, or working in both directions. We put that scope in writing with you during the scoping conversation, before any build work starts, so it is agreed rather than assumed.

## What the workflow looks like

With the connection running, producing a panel-ready CV becomes part of moving the candidate forward rather than a separate task someone has to remember:

1. Recruiters and coordinators carry on in SmartRecruiters, on the same requisitions and the same records as before.
2. The CV is rendered into your organisation's branded template, and anonymised on the way through where that applies.
3. The finished version is filed back against the candidate, so whoever opens that record next finds it waiting.

The middle step is the ordinary RemakeCV experience, so anything a pilot team has already learned still holds. See [uploading a CV](https://www.remakecv.com/help/formatting-cvs/uploading-a-cv.md) and [reviewing and editing](https://www.remakecv.com/help/formatting-cvs/reviewing-and-editing.md).

Rollout order is worth raising early, since talent functions this size rarely switch everything on at once. Which business units or countries go first, and whether they share one design, is something we work through with you.

## Does the integration change the formatting?

No. Templates, editing, anonymisation, summaries and downloads behave the same whether a CV arrives over a connection or is dropped into the browser by hand. The connection decides only how the file travels, which means adopting one never obliges you to reopen decisions about your output.

Groups running several employer brands often ask whether one design can cover all of them. [Template variants](https://www.remakecv.com/help/templates-and-branding/template-variants.md) are how that is handled — a different logo or colour set per business unit over an identical underlying structure, with visibility scoped so each team sees the variants it works with. The shared structure is the part that keeps candidates comparable across the group. If your design has not been built yet, that runs alongside the connection: see [requesting a custom template](https://www.remakecv.com/help/templates-and-branding/requesting-a-custom-template.md).

## Building it yourself

Where your organisation has internal engineering capacity and prefers to own the connection, the [public REST API](https://www.remakecv.com/help/api-reference/introduction.md) exposes the processing, retrieval and template endpoints directly. See [connecting RemakeCV to any ATS or internal system](https://www.remakecv.com/help/integrations/using-the-api-instead.md) for what they cover.

## Which plan includes it?

There is no integration tier: Business and Enterprise both include it. See [plans and pricing](https://www.remakecv.com/help/account-and-billing/plans-and-pricing.md).

## Start the conversation

Email support@remakecv.com with **SmartRecruiters**, your organisation name and the teams or regions you would start with. We will confirm what the integration will do on your account, what we need from you, and how your talent function will use it day to day.

## Frequently asked questions

### Does RemakeCV integrate with SmartRecruiters?

Yes. Our team builds and configures the SmartRecruiters integration for your talent function using API credentials issued for your SmartRecruiters account, and it then behaves like our other ATS integrations. Email support@remakecv.com and we will scope it with you.

### What do I need to provide?

API credentials issued for your SmartRecruiters account, arranged by whoever administers it inside your organisation, together with a short note on which business units or countries are in scope first. Send both to support@remakecv.com and our team takes the build from there.

### Will it work the same as the other integrations?

Yes. The same templates, template variants, editor, anonymisation, summaries and downloads apply. An integration settles how a CV moves between two systems and nothing more — the document a hiring panel opens is identical either way.

### Can I use RemakeCV with SmartRecruiters before the integration is set up?

Yes. RemakeCV runs standalone in the browser — upload a CV, format it into your branded template, anonymise it if you need to, and download it. Large talent functions often pilot with one team this way and add the connection once the format is agreed.
