Cover pages and additional candidate info

Add a branded cover page carrying your logo, the consultant's details, a candidate summary and role-specific information ahead of the CV itself.

In RemakeCV, a cover page is the branded first page ahead of the candidate's CV, carrying your logo, consultant details, a candidate summary and commercial facts such as salary and notice period. Whether one is included is usually your own setting, so you can turn it on or off per submission.

What goes on a cover page?

The purpose is to give the hiring manager everything they need to decide whether to read the CV.

  • Agency branding — logo, colours, and any compliance footer you need.
  • Candidate summary — three to five lines on who this person is and why they fit. See candidate summaries.
  • Commercial facts — expected salary, notice period, availability, location, right to work.
  • Consultant details — name, phone, email, so the client can respond immediately.
  • Role reference — the vacancy or client reference this submission relates to.
Note:

Cover pages are especially valuable for anonymised submissions. When the candidate's identity is removed from the CV, the cover page is where you carry the reasoning about fit that would otherwise be lost.

How do I turn one on?

For most agencies, including a cover page is a setting on your own account — look for the cover-page option in your settings, alongside font and display preferences. Turn it on and the cover page fields appear in the editor for you to fill in per candidate.

What the cover page contains is defined by your template. If it is missing fields you need, email support@remakecv.com.

Note:

Because this is a per-user setting rather than a company one, colleagues may have it on when you have it off. If a client complains that submissions are inconsistent, this is a likely cause.

Can I have a cover page for some clients and not others?

Yes. Because inclusion is a setting you control, you can turn it off for a client who wants the CV alone. For a genuinely different cover-page design per client, use a template variant.

What if a client wants their own logo on it?

Client-branded variants are a common request: your candidate formatting, the client's branding. This is set up as a separate template variant. See requesting a custom template.

Frequently asked questions

How do I turn the cover page on or off?
For most agencies it is a setting on your own account, alongside your font and display preferences. Because it is per user, colleagues may have it set differently from you.
What if the cover page is missing a field I need?
The content of the cover page comes from your template. Email support@remakecv.com with the field you need and where it should sit.
Can the cover page summary be AI-generated?
Yes. The candidate summary can be generated from the CV content and then edited before download.
