What the editor covers
It is considerably more than a settings panel — this is the full design surface of your agency's CV.

Who can make changes?
Creating, renaming, duplicating, deleting, reordering and setting the default — along with every styling control — are reserved for admin users at your agency. Non-admins can open the editor and preview templates.
This is deliberate: a template change affects every consultant's output from that template, so the people accountable for your agency's brand are the ones who hold the controls.
If you are an admin, agree changes with the team before applying them rather than experimenting in the live editor — and use the preview, which costs nothing.
How do I preview a change?
Use the editor's built-in preview, which renders the template against sample data. That is faster than regenerating a real candidate, and it is free.
Preview against your longest sample. Short CVs hide the spacing and pagination behaviour that a fifteen-year career history shows you immediately.
Would you rather we made the change?
Many agencies prefer it, and it is included — no ticket cost, no change fee. It also means the change is validated against awkward real CVs before it reaches your consultants.

- A CV that shows what you mean — far more useful than a description.
- Whether it applies to every CV or only some clients, which decides whether it is a change or a new variant.
Do changes apply retrospectively?
Not to files already downloaded — those are fixed documents. Any CV still in your history can be regenerated with the new template at no credit cost, which is how agencies migrate a whole back catalogue after a rebrand.

- Will my changes affect CVs I already downloaded?
- No. Downloaded files are fixed. Changes apply to CVs generated afterwards, and to any CV you regenerate from history — which is how agencies migrate a back catalogue after a rebrand, free of charge.
- Can I recover a template I deleted?
- Yes. Deleted templates are restored from the editor — deletion is reversible. The default template is protected from deletion entirely.
