Connecting Vincere
Connect Vincere to push formatted CVs onto candidate records, choosing the document type. Each consultant connects individually against your agency's provisioned tenant.
Connecting Vincere lets you push a formatted CV onto a candidate record, choosing which Vincere document type it is filed under. Each consultant connects individually. RemakeCV provisions your tenant configuration in advance, so there is nothing for you to enter — but the integration cannot read existing CVs out of Vincere.
What it can do
| Capability | Supported |
|---|---|
| Search and list candidates | Yes, with name-variant fallbacks |
| Create and update candidates | Yes |
| Read and write work experience entries | Yes |
| Upload the original CV and the formatted CV | Yes, under separate document types |
| Assign a candidate owner | Yes |
| Download an existing CV from Vincere | No |
Vincere is the only integration that can file both the original and the formatted CV under different document types on the same record.
What you need first
- Vincere enabled and your tenant provisioned by RemakeCV — email support@remakecv.com
- A Vincere login for each consultant who will use it
Your tenant identifier and API key are configured by us, not entered by you. There is no field for them anywhere in RemakeCV. One Vincere tenant is assigned per company, so agencies operating separate regional tenants are set up as separate RemakeCV companies.
How to connect
Start from RemakeCV
Open the user menu on your dashboard and choose Connect Vincere.
Sign in to Vincere
Authorise with your own Vincere account. Do not leave the consent screen sitting open — the authorisation request expires after about ten minutes and you will need to start again.
Confirm and test
Push one formatted CV onto a test candidate before rolling out.
Two things that surprise people
Document type is validated on every upload
Vincere restricts which document types each user may write to. RemakeCV re-checks your permitted types at the moment of upload, so a type that exists in Vincere but is not permitted for your account is rejected — with "The selected document type is not permitted for this Vincere user."
This is a Vincere permissions matter, not a RemakeCV connection problem. Reconnecting will not fix it; changing your Vincere permissions will.
Phone numbers can be dropped deliberately
Vincere validates phone numbers against a country and rejects local-format numbers it cannot place. Rather than failing the whole save, RemakeCV retries without the number and tells you:
The candidate was saved without the phone/mobile number: Vincere could not validate it. Add a country code (e.g. +852) or set the candidate's country in Vincere, then try again.
This one is easy to miss. The candidate was created — just without a contact number. Add the number with a country code afterwards.
If Vincere cannot supply the source CV, upload it in the normal way first — see uploading a CV and the integrations overview.
Troubleshooting
| Message | Meaning | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| "Vincere is not configured for this company" | Your tenant is not provisioned | Contact support@remakecv.com |
| "The requested Vincere tenant is not assigned to this company" | Tenant mismatch | Contact support |
| "Not authenticated with Vincere… Please connect your account" | This consultant has not connected | Connect from the user menu |
| "Unauthorized. Please reconnect to Vincere." | Token expired or revoked | Reconnect |
| "The selected document type is not permitted" | Vincere user permissions | Adjust in Vincere |
| "Too many Vincere requests. Please retry shortly." | Rate limited | Wait and retry |
| "CV file must be 10 MB or smaller." | File too large for the Vincere upload | Reduce the file size |
| "Unsupported CV file type" | Vincere accepts .pdf .doc .docx .rtf .txt only | Convert the file |
If a token refresh fails, the stored connection is discarded and you are effectively signed out of Vincere without warning. Reconnecting is always the first thing to try.
Frequently asked questions
- Do I need to enter a tenant ID or API key?
- No. RemakeCV provisions your Vincere tenant configuration in advance. If the connection reports that Vincere is not configured for your company, contact us rather than looking for a settings field.
- Why was my candidate saved without their phone number?
- Vincere rejects phone numbers it cannot validate against a country. RemakeCV retries without the number rather than losing the whole record, and warns you. Add a country code such as +852, or set the candidate's country in Vincere.
- Why can't I select a document type?
- Document types are restricted per Vincere user. RemakeCV re-checks your permitted types on every upload, so a type you cannot use is rejected even if it exists in Vincere.
