Template variants and client-specific versions
Run several versions of your template — client-branded, anonymised, with or without a cover page — and choose the right one per submission.
A RemakeCV template variant is a fully custom version of your template for a specific situation: a client's own branding reproduced exactly, an anonymised layout, or a version without a cover page. There is no limit on how many you run or how different they are. Variants sit alongside your house template, consultants pick the right one when processing a CV, and visibility is scoped so each team sees the variants it works with.
When do agencies use variants?

How do I get a variant set up?
Email support@remakecv.com with what needs to differ from your existing template. Because a variant starts from a template we have already built, it is usually turned around faster than an original build — often the same day.
Name variants after the situation, not the design — "Acme Corp — anonymised" beats "Template 3". Consultants pick from a dropdown under time pressure, and the name is the only thing preventing the wrong document going to the wrong client.
Can I limit who sees a variant?
Template visibility is scoped to named consultants or teams — email support@remakecv.com with the template and who should see it, and we configure it. Administrators always see every template regardless.
By default every consultant can select every template, which is what most agencies want. Where a client-branded template must only ever go to that client, ask us to scope it to the team working the account — it takes a moment to set up and removes the risk entirely.
Can I switch a CV between variants after processing?
Yes. Open the CV from history, select a different variant and regenerate. No re-upload, no credit.
This is genuinely useful in practice: a candidate rejected by one client can be resubmitted to another in that client's format in seconds.
Should anonymisation be a variant or a setting?
Both work, and it depends on how you operate:
- As a variant — when the layout itself differs, for instance a cover page carrying the reasoning that the anonymised CV cannot.
- As a per-CV action — when the layout is identical and only the content changes. See auto-anonymisation.

- Can a client's template carry their logo instead of ours?
- Yes. Client-branded variants are a common setup for agencies on preferred-supplier agreements that require submissions in the client's own format.
- Can I restrict a variant to one team?
- Yes. Tell us the template and which team should see it, and we configure the visibility rule for you. By default every consultant can select every template, which suits most agencies.
- Can I switch a CV between variants?
- Yes, and it costs no credit. Regenerate the same CV in a different variant from CV history.
