RemakeCV

Connecting Salesforce

The Salesforce integration formats a CV already stored against a candidate record, without downloading it. Setup is handled by RemakeCV rather than a self-serve connection.

The Salesforce integration lets you search candidate records, pick a CV already attached, and format it in place — no download and re-upload. There is no connect button: RemakeCV configures the connection using credentials for a Salesforce integration user, so setup is a conversation with us rather than a self-serve flow.

How setup actually works

Warning:

There is no OAuth consent screen, no redirect and no per-consultant authorisation for Salesforce. Everything runs through a single integration user that RemakeCV configures. If you are looking for a Connect button, you will not find one.

What we need from you:

  1. Credentials for a Salesforce integration user

Either a connected app configured for server-to-server access, or a dedicated integration user account. Your Salesforce administrator provisions this.

  2. Your candidate schema

The integration reads a Candidate object with distinct first name, last name and email fields. If your org uses different API names, that needs a change on our side — send us the object and field names before planning a rollout.

  3. Confirmation of which files hold CVs

The integration looks for Word and PDF files attached to the candidate record, newest first.

Because it runs as one integration user rather than as each consultant, per-user Salesforce permissions do not affect who can use it inside RemakeCV.

What it can do

CapabilitySupported
Search candidates by name or emailYes — minimum three characters
Look a candidate up directly by Salesforce IDYes
List the files attached to a candidateYes
Format a CV stored in Salesforce, in placeYes
Upload the formatted CV back to the recordYes

The day-to-day workflow

  1. Find the candidate

Search by name or email from within RemakeCV. A link carrying the Salesforce candidate ID opens straight onto that candidate.

  2. Pick the CV

The candidate's attached files are listed, most recent first.

  3. Format in place

RemakeCV pulls the file from Salesforce and processes it — no download to your desktop.

  4. Review and send back

Check the extraction, then upload the formatted CV to the candidate record.

Limits worth knowing

LimitValue
File types readable from Salesforce.pdf, .docx, .doc only
Upload size25MB
Minimum search term3 characters
Results per page25

Credits are checked before a Salesforce CV is processed, so a company at zero credits gets "No credits left" rather than a partial run. See credits explained.

Frequently asked questions

Where is the Connect Salesforce button?
There isn't one. The Salesforce integration runs on credentials configured by RemakeCV for a Salesforce integration user, so there is no per-consultant authorisation to complete.
Will it work with our Salesforce object names?
Not automatically. The integration reads a Candidate object with specific field names. If your org names things differently, it needs a change on our side — tell us your schema before you plan a rollout.
Can it format a CV already in Salesforce?
Yes. That is the point of this integration — you pick a file from the candidate record and format it without downloading anything.
